I am originally from Liverpool, Nova Scotia but now call Fort McMurray my home. My husband and I recently bought our first home i Timberlea!
My first teaching experience was in Japan, when I moved there in 2005 for a year to teach English. After that, I was hooked, so I took an education degree at Acadia university in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. My first year as a teacher, I was a resource teacher in my hometown, providing extra support to those who needed it in Math and ELA. Then, I decided to pursue a more permanent job and I moved to Norway House, Manitoba (about 8 hours north of Winnipeg). I taught there for 3 years doing a combination of Grade 1, Kindergarten and Reading Recovery.
I moved to Fort McMurray in July 2012 to start a position as music teacher at Timberlea School. I have since grown to love this town and all it has to offer! Over the last 2 years, I had the opportunity to take part in the Keyano College musical Hometown and Les Miserables.

Besides acting, I also enjoy singing, playing guitar, baking, and spending time with family and friends (including my dog Chip!).
